zélote

Je ne sais pas interpréter ce haut fait parce qu’en toute bonne logique il aurait dû être fait prisonnier par les troupes de Arétas mais se trouve prise en otage par les partisans zélote qu’il poursuite.

This spiritual happening is not very clear for me. In good logic he should have been captured by Arétas, but in the opposite he becomes a hostage of the partisans, the zealots, and the people he was chasing after.
