Tout à coup, toutes sortes de transports, de voyages, d'informations étaient disponibles, et ceci a donné naissance, comme j'aime l'appeler, à l'âge bureaucratique.

Suddenly, all sorts of transport, travel information were possible, and this gave birth to, what I like to call, the bureaucratic age.

Ça me glace d’effroi. Tout à coup, j’entends la voix de la Dame très nettement, tout près de mon oreille. Je l’entends dire :

A bright light comes from behind, from out of the chapel, and goes through the church. I am terribly frightened by this. Now, all of a sudden, I hear the voice of the Lady very clearly, right by my ear. I hear the Lady say,

Mais tout à coup il tressaille; il presse violemment entre ses bras ce corps que tout à l'heure il n'osait pas toucher avec ses doigts.

How he starts! How he suddenly and vehemently clasps in both arms the form he dared not, a moment since, touch with his finger!

Tout à coup Mirja a très vite commencé par la naissance et en 45 minutes elle a donné la vie à quatre petits Smultrons! Elle n'a pas eu besoin d'aide, elle a fait tout elle-même. Ca m'a fait très fière d'elle.

And in exactly 45 minutes Mirja gave birth to four wonderful little Smultrons. She didn't need any help and she was making me very proud.
