Howlin' Wolf used to come straight from labouring in the fields to do his show. A hulking man with a soft heart, he loved to see the white boys playing the blues, and often picked up a great deal from them himself.

Howlin' Wolf venait se produire en spectacle juste après son travail dans les champs. Un malabar au cœur tendre, il aimait voir les Blancs jouer du blues et il arrivait souvent qu'il apprenne lui-même beaucoup de choses d'eux.
