Die Paukenhöhle beherbergt die drei Gehörknöchelchen: Hammer, Amboss und Steigbügel, sowie die drei Bogengänge des Gleichgewichtsorgans.

In the tympanic cavity there are the three ear bones or ossicles: hammer, anvil and stirrup as well as the semicircular canals of the vestibular apparatus.
